The successful candidate will deliver professional hairdressing and grooming services while providing outstanding customer service and maintaining high salon presentation standards. The role includes consulting with clients to understand their styling needs, performing hair cutting and styling services, recommending suitable hair care products and treatments, and working collaboratively with the team to create a positive and professional customer experience.

Task & responsibilities

Consult with clients and provide professional advice on hairstyles, grooming, hair care, and beauty products

Perform precision haircuts using scissors, clippers, and razors, including fades, tapers, and styling cuts

Shampoo, condition, and treat hair and scalp to maintain healthy hair and scalp conditions

Apply hair colouring, straightening, permanent waving, and other chemical treatments according to client needs

Style hair into modern looks including braids, dreadlocks, and hair extension applications

Provide beard and moustache grooming, trimming, shaping, and shaving services

Recommend suitable hair care and styling products based on individual client hair types and preferences

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by sanitising tools, equipment, and work areas in line with salon standards

Arrange client appointments, manage customer service, and process payments

Stay updated with current hairstyling trends, grooming techniques, and industry developments

Qualification & experience

Certificate III or IV in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification.

Must have at least 1-3 years of relevant work experience.

Have good communication skills, creativity, dexterity, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
