Painting Trades Worker

Admirable Painting Service Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Painting Trades Worker to support its growing residential and commercial painting operations. The role is suited to a motivated professional with strong technical painting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes across a variety of projects. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining the company’s reputation for workmanship, reliability, and customer satisfaction while working within a professional team environment.

Benefits

Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 per Annum + Superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching, and cleaning prior to painting. 
• Apply primers, paints, varnishes, and protective finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. 
• Measure and mix paints to achieve required colours and finishes.
• Protect surrounding areas with drop sheets, masking tape, and protective coverings. 
• Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality finishes and compliance with client requirements. 
• Operate and maintain painting tools, ladders, scaffolding, and spray equipment safely. 
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times. 
• Work on residential and commercial painting projects within scheduled deadlines. 
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients regarding project progress. 
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout all stages of painting projects.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification. 
• Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant work experience in residential and/or commercial painting projects. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and finishing methods. 
• Ability to safely operate painting tools, spray equipment, ladders, and scaffolding. 
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship. 
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements within the painting industry.
