With sites based in Melbourne and Sydney we have partnered with a diverse range of clients including projects spanning commercial, industrial and public sectors. With more than 50 fleet in various yards in the greater Sydney metropolitan region, we supply agitator trucks to companies making concrete like Boral and Holcim. 

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 14 Agitator Truck Driver to join our team. The role involves transporting and delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites while maintaining the correct consistency of the concrete during transit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills, attention to detail in handling concrete, and a commitment to safety and compliance with all legal regulations.

Task & responsibilities

  • Safely operate an agitator truck to transport pre-mixed concrete to designated construction sites, maintaining the correct mix during transit.
  • Load concrete into the truck’s drum and unload it at the destination. 
  • Use lifting or tipping devices when required to assist with loading and unloading the product.
  • Apply basic supply management skills to ensure that the correct amount of concrete is delivered on time and as per the order specifications.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and legal regulations to ensure the safe and secure transportation of concrete, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure that the concrete cargo is properly secured throughout the trip to prevent spillage or accidents.
  • Operate the truck safely, following all traffic laws and road safety rules, with particular attention to those related to heavy vehicles and load restrictions.
  • Regularly inspect the truck, including tyres, brakes, and other mechanical systems, to ensure safety and vehicle’s roadworthy.
  • Ensure that all required driver’s licenses and certifications are up to date and renewed as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, including logs, timesheets, and reports on any safety incidents in line with company policies.
  • Ensure all deliveries meet legal and regulatory standards for transporting concrete, including any environmental considerations.
  • Communicate effectively with site managers and other site members to ensure smooth and efficient delivery, and address any specific on-site requirements.
  • Lead and drive OH&S and Environmental compliance when representing the company to and from the delivery point
  • Commitment to RGA Safety standards with demonstrated safety leadership behaviours
  • Develop effective working relationships with our customers and to lead and influence personal drive and results.

Qualification & experience

  • Hold a valid Australian Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence (Class HR, HC, or MC depending on the truck type) 
  • Completion of relevant training in truck driving and road safety is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with load securing, vehicle inspection procedures, and compliance with transport regulations.
  • Demonstrated safe driving record and understanding of road safety and WHS principles.
  • Minimum at least 1 or  3.5 years experience.
