Your responsibilities will include:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Data Officer to join our Configuration and Data Management Team.

In this role, you will support the management of technical documentation, customer deliveries, configuration baselines, and data management activities across complex engineering and project environments. You will work closely with engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to help maintain the integrity and accuracy of program information and documentation.

Under general guidance, your responsibilities will include:

  • Apply configuration and data management processes for identifying, controlling and distributing project data
  • Manage technical data and contractual deliverables, including CDRL and SDRL submissions to and from customers and subcontractors
  • Edit, publish and control program documentation in line with contractual and company requirements
  • Maintain configuration baselines, including software, hardware, documentation, models and networks
  • Progress change documentation through formal Configuration Management processes
  • Administer and support Review Boards, technical reviews and working groups
  • Manage the Project Process Asset Library
  • Create and maintain product structures and relationships to technical data
  • Support problem identification, tracking and resolution, including verification audits on deployed systems
  • Share information with external parties while maintaining data security and sensitivity requirements
  • Work closely with Export Compliance to ensure adherence to EXIM plans and sensitive information controls
The preferred location for this role is Williamtown, NSW.

About you:

You are a detail-oriented and organised professional who is comfortable working with technical data in a regulated and security-conscious environment. You enjoy collaborating across teams, maintaining process discipline, and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
 
Essential

  • Experience using document editing and publishing tools
  • Experience managing secure or sensitive information
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
 
Desirable
  • Experience using PTC Windchill
  • Experience managing export-controlled data
  • Exposure to Configuration Management practices
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • Experience working within a Defence environment

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
