Cafe Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations at Munchas Cafe. This full-time role requires a hands-on professional with strong leadership and cafe management experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business performance, leading and motivating staff, ensuring high standards of food and customer service, and maintaining efficient operations in a fast-paced dining environment.

Task & responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily cafe operations to ensure efficient food and beverage service delivery.
• Plan menus in collaboration with chefs, considering customer preferences, seasonal offerings, and business objectives.
• Organise and manage special events, catering services, and promotional functions.
• Monitor purchasing, stock control, and pricing of food, beverages, and supplies .
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, financial transactions, and operational expenses.
• Ensure the restaurant or cafe complies with health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
• Engage with customers to evaluate satisfaction levels and resolve service-related concerns promptly.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and coordinate front-of-house and kitchen staff to maintain service standards.
• Manage reservations, welcome guests, and assist with customer orders when required.
• Implement operational procedures and service standards to enhance customer experience and business performance.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a cafe or restaurant management or hospitality supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cafe or restaurant operations, staff performance, and customer service standards.
• Experience in stock control, budgeting, rostering, and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of food safety, workplace health and safety, and hospitality compliance requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment and handle operational challenges effectively.
