Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. In this role, you will assess and support clients experiencing physical, psychological, developmental, or functional challenges to improve their independence and participation in everyday life activities.

Task & responsibilities

• assessing clients' emotional, psychological, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardised tests
• assessing clients' functional potential in their home, leisure, work and school environments, and recommending environmental adaptations to maximise their performance
• Providing tailored therapy to the individuals in home, school and community setting in Condobolin and surrounding rural towns.
• planning and directing programs through the use of vocational, recreational, remedial, social and educational activities on a one-on-one basis.
• providing advice to family members, carers, employers and teachers about adapting clients' home, leisure, work and school environments
• providing adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs, to assist clients to overcome their functional limitations
• recording clients' progress and maintaining professional relationships in accordance with relevant legislative requirements and ethical guidelines

Qualification & experience

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Strong communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the Condobolin community up to 1n15 radius from the town centre. 
• Passion for empowering people to live meaningful and independent lives
