We are seeking experienced Facility Supervisors to join our team in Curlwaa, NSW. These positions oversee citrus grading, packing, quality assurance, and dispatch operations. These full-time roles play a critical part in our citrus operations ensuring that produce meets customer requirements while maintaining compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

As a Facility Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct handling, grading, packing, and dispatch of citrus. You will oversee product quality, implement quality assurance procedures, manage personnel training, and liaise with key departments to maintain efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the grading, packing, and dispatch of produce to meet customer specifications.

Assess incoming produce for quality and allocate grading resources accordingly.

Monitor product quality throughout production, including washing, first, second, and final grading.

Identify and rectify mechanical damage or grading inconsistencies to maintain quality standards.

Collaborate with the Harvest Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, and Dispatch Manager to ensure seamless facility operations.

Ensure accurate quality assurance record-keeping for full product traceability.

Manage the cool chain process to maintain optimal product condition from handling to dispatch.

Train and oversee personnel to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.

Coordinate work schedules and manage workflow efficiency. 

Onboard new staff to the packshed and explain work flow and roles.

Create and roster staff on packing schedules and daily volumes and balance shifts. 

Ensure waste handling is conducted in accordance with established protocols.

Verify that all dispatches meet standard procedures and customer requirements.

Skills and Experience:

Cert III or Cert IV in a relevant field or a minimum of 3 years experience supervising in a packshed.

Proven ability to lead teams and ensure compliance with quality control measures.

Experience in handling perishable products with a strong focus on cool chain management.

Strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills.

Ability to monitor and maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

A focus on achieving high-quality results and minmising rejections. 

Self-motivated and the ability to take initiative. 

The ability to motivate and support team members to work efficiently. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

An ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.

A team-oriented approach with effective problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in maintaining quality assurance records for traceability and compliance.

Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OHS regulations.

Salary & Benefits

Annual salary: $73,000 – $83,000 plus overtime and superannuation.
